A framework agreement for specialist burn and scar management products has be developed to provide direct access to a range of specialised non stock products for burn care services, namely; skin substitutes, silver sulphadiazine creams, hydrological wound debridement and specialist scar products. The framework runs from the 1 November 2012 until the 1st November 2014 and aims to provide cost savings and a more robust procurement process to ensure quality assurance and confidence in providers.
The framework is accessible to all NHS Trust or related bodies and is particularly applicable to specialist burn care services, regional burn care networks, specialist burn units and specialised commissioners who commission burn care services.
